Couples Therapy

I welcome couples of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, relationship structures, cultural backgrounds, religions, and abilities. My practice is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and affirming therapeutic environment for everyone.

Every relationship goes through difficult periods. Sometimes these challenges are temporary, while other times they can leave you feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck in the same arguments. Couples therapy provides a safe, neutral space where both partners can explore these difficulties together and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
Whether you're navigating frequent conflict, communication difficulties, trust issues, life transitions, intimacy concerns, or simply feeling emotionally distant, therapy can help you better understand one another and create meaningful, lasting change.
What can couples therapy help with?Couples therapy can support you in:* Improving communication and reducing misunderstandings* Managing recurring conflicts more constructively* Rebuilding trust after betrayal or hurt* Strengthening emotional and physical intimacy* Navigating major life transitions (moving, parenthood, career changes, illness)* Addressing differences in values, expectations, or future goals* Learning healthier ways to express emotions and needs* Strengthening your connection before problems become overwhelming
My approachI view relationships as partnerships rather than problems to solve. My role is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to help both partners understand each other's experiences, identify the patterns keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of relating.
Drawing from evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I tailor each session to your unique relationship. Together, we will work to improve communication, increase emotional understanding, and build practical skills that support a stronger connection beyond the therapy room.
Every relationship is different, which is why therapy is adapted to your goals, values, and circumstances.
My approach is LGBTQIA+ affirmative, meaning that every couple is welcomed with respect and without judgment. I recognise that LGBTQIA+ couples may face unique experiences, such as minority stress, discrimination, navigating identity or coming out, or challenges related to family and societal expectations. At the same time, I understand that every relationship is unique, and I tailor therapy to your individual experiences and goals rather than making assumptions based on your identities.
What to expectSessions provide an opportunity for both partners to speak openly in a respectful, supportive environment. We will explore the concerns that brought you to therapy, identify recurring patterns, and work collaboratively towards meaningful and realistic goals.
The aim is not simply to resolve today's conflict, but to build a relationship that feels more secure, connected, and resilient in the future.
Is couples therapy right for us?You don't have to be on the verge of separation to benefit from therapy. Many couples seek support because they want to strengthen their relationship, prevent small issues from becoming larger ones, or better navigate a new chapter in their lives.
Seeking support is not a sign that your relationship has failed- it is an investment in understanding each other more deeply and creating a healthier way forward, together.
